I have always been drawn to patterns, weather that be visual or behavioural — I think that is probably a trait of my autism, but it’s one of the very useful ones... it ensures that my life is kept in order, and that I have the desire to create photographs such as this one.
When I’m asked what my favourite animal is I often note that three of my top four are patterned — the leopard, the zebra and the giraffe. The fourth, the flamingo, has been a favourite for as long as I can remember, although I struggle to workout exactly why I love them.
I hope this photograph offers an insight into my world and way of thinking, and is as visually pleasing for you as it is for me!
