Zebra are fascinating photographic subjects - both artistically and with regards to their behaviour.
I wanted an intimate and artistic photograph that demonstrated their strong herd behaviours. To capture such an image required intimacy, and an investment of time and emotional energy - I needed to get close and the zebra is a nervous creature.
I slowly gained the trust of this pair of young Grevys zebra, and ‘Intertwined’ is the resulting image.
